Dan Kennedy, CSCS
Dan earned a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science/Sports Nutrition from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. During his time at UNK, he spent two years in their Athletic Training Room where he received hands-on experience with nearly all of the University's Sports Programs.
In August of 2005, Dan started at the Wellness/Fitness Center as an intern and was hired as a Fitness Specialist in October. Over the next few years, Dan helped over 150 people change their lives in a healthy way. Dan was a featured trainer on NTV's "Fit for TV" in which he helped a participant lose 54.4 pounds in three months. Many members will share their success stories after working with Dan.
In the summer of 2007, Dan worked for 7 Flags Fitness and Racquet Club where he made an immediate impact and was one of the top-producing trainers and was classified as a Master Trainer. After weighing a career decision with 7 Flags, he followed his heart back into the Medical Fitness field where he assumed the Fitness Coordinator position in November of 2007. Since being back, he has spread his "no excuses" philosophy and teamed that with intensive 1-on-1 personal training that has produced incredible results. He believes that people need more than a want to change, but a will.
