Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

Whether following illness or injury, scheduled procedure or trauma, our inpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services are here to help.

Services are often prescribed for patients who have had strokes, accidents involving back or head injuries, broken bones or disabling disease. A care plan is developed on initial evaluation to work towards goal of improved functional independence. Treatments including functional training, exercises and modalities are provided to work toward your goals. We work closely with your care team to recommend adaptive equipment, functional strategies and future therapy needs.

Rehabilitation services are provided in every unit of the hospital from orthopedics, med/surgical, pediatrics, cardiopulmonary, intensive care and neurology. Further services are provided in our Transitional Care Unit for patients needing an extended stay. Patients in our Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation unit have the highest intensity of therapy provided. Following dismissal from the hospital, patients can continue with their rehabilitation with our outpatient services or home health as appropriate.
